Paying for Assisted Living

Are you, or a loved one, a Veteran who needs assistance paying for the high costs of longterm care? Veterans, 65 and older, who served during war time may be eligible for a TAX-FREE benefit from the Department of Veterans Affairs, which provides financial aid to veterans and their surviving spouses to help cover the cost of longterm care including assisted living.   • As a VET, you may be eligible for up to $25,524 per year in Long Term Care Benefits from the VA to pay for Home Care, Assisted Living or Nursing Home Care.

 

  • You may qualify for benefits even if you or your spouse is presently receiving Home Care, Assisted Living or Nursing Home Care.

 

  • As a VET, spouse or widow and are bedridden, you could qualify for at least $1,153 per month for care.
